About the Race
The Memorial Day Mile is a 1 Mile men’s and women’s run/walk in Franklin, Indiana designed to connect thankful citizens with Memorial Day observance.
The event helps participants remember and honor those who have served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Click to Register
Packet pick up the day before the race (Sunday May 27th) from 1pm to 4pm at Gray Goat Sports in downtown Franklin
Race Day – May 28, 2018
> Registration from 7:30 a.m to 8:45 a.m
> National Anthem 9:00 a.m
> Female Competitive Race 9:10 a.m.
> Male Competitive Race 9:30 a.m.
> Family Jog/Walk 9:50 a.m.
> Awards immediately after the Family Jog/Walk
> Memorial Day Service 11:00 a.m.
*Competitive races are for those who run a mile faster than 10 minutes.*
> Short-sleeve event shirt (a $20 value)
> Easy access to downtown Franklin
> Ample parking
> Support from volunteers and law enforcement
Parking is available in public lots east of downtown, north of the courthouse, and southeast of the courthouse
For your safety and for the safety of others, the following are NOT allowed on the course:
> Unregistered participants (including friends, family, coaches and pacers)
> In-line skates
> Hover boards
> Hand cycles and hand-cycle wheelchairs

All participants will receive a medal.
Memorial Day Mile, Inc is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to connect thankful citizens with Memorial Day observance through an annual race. A key goal of the organization is to increase attendance at the Memorial Day service held in downtown Franklin.
